Thursday, October 29th, 2026 - The Boat Show closes out its last four days this weekend, and this year's headline boat belongs to the guy who co-founded Valve. Wicked Manors takes over Wilton Drive with 40,000 costumed people, Rocky Horror runs its second night at the Miniaci, and a dive boat off Pompano runs an underwater pumpkin-carving contest before any of that starts. Next week brings a magician doing true crime stories at the Broward Center, and a drone show over the ocean that's grown from 50 drones to 500.đđđ

Featured Fort Lauderdale
The newly redesigned Huizenga Park sits right in downtown Fort Lauderdale, next to the New River and at the intersection of Andrewâs Ave and Las Olas.
Each week there are dozens of activities that might draw you to the Park. From Tuesday night Run Club, Yoga (moving to Mondays in November), Wednesday night Think & Drink Trivia games, Yappy Hour for our furry friends, Free Saturday Morning Worksouts, Pilates, Zumba, and more.
And food options. Mr. Smashburger has been there since the Park reopened last year. Now Opheliaâs and Sweetwaters join the mix.
If you havenât been down to Huizenga yet, Friday night might be worth the trip as they kick off the Halloween Weekend with a Double Feature movie set on the lawn. Bring a blanket or a fold-out chair for Beetlejuice and Toy Story of Terror.
In addition to the movies (starting at 7pm, the event will include costumes, trick or treating with community partners. Our own Acton Academy Fort Lauderdale team will be participating with our âThumb Buddyâ make and take art creation station.
Sounds like a great night to enjoy the evening outside and see all that Huizenga provides as an oasis right in the heart of the downtown!
